Hotel Royal

It's a hotel with history but it is surprisingly clean and well equipped. The location is excellent (particularly with it's price)! It's just next to two subway lines U1 and U3 making it easy to reach the main train station as well as the airport. There is also a large supermarket just opposite and many restaurants/snack shops around. We live at the top floor just under the bar/resaturant but the double window make it very quiet. The servers are also very helpful.

The location is perfect - within walking distance of many attractions and with a main U-Bahn station, Stephansplatz. Lovely shops and many restaurants and cafes close by. We stayed in the Royal Hotel 21 years ago and love it. Large bedroom with plenty of space. The staff were so friendly, helpful and nice. We would book it again.

Each morning, I was greeted with a delicious spread of delectable treats that catered to every taste. From fresh fruits to warm pastries, the breakfast buffet was a true gastronomic delight. The attention to detail and the variety of options ensured that every guest's preferences were catered for, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. The room itself was a cozy haven that exceeded my expectations. It was well-appointed with all the necessary amenities and more. The comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep. What truly set this hotel apart was its staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and friendly team that made me feel incredibly welcome. They were always ready to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or assisting with any requests I had, their genuine enthusiasm and attentiveness made my stay truly memorable. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was an absolute delight. The perfect location, coupled with the outstanding breakfast, comfortable room, and the incredibly helpful staff, made my holiday all the more special. The hotel is centrally located and very easy to find. The breakfast was amazing - fantastic coffee, the best scrambled eggs I’ve had anywhere, and a great variety of meats and cheeses! The staff was super nice and helpful. I had a dental emergency involving a wisdom tooth and the people who worked in the restaurant were kind enough to give me an ice pack.

The staff welcomed us as longtime regulars. It makes you feel like you're in the right place and it's that special place. The room is large with a view of the heart of the pedestrianized city center. Attention is in order. Creates the feeling of a home that awaits you. Rooms with natural parquet. A vintage feel and a wink to bygone eras in every detail without being tired and old. And just comfortable. The bathroom is wide with a comfortable bathtub. Over 200 engravings of Vienna from the 18th century are spread over the floors of the hotel. A permanent exhibition with a high value for the attention of guests. We actually had a kind of gallery in the hotel. Only one building separates the hotel from the Cathedral of St. Stefan. The bells of the cathedral further lift the spirits of the guests. Local newspapers are available in the lobby. Smokers can smoke comfortably at the wooden tables in front of the hotel, which are part of the breakfast restaurant. At the reception, they have suggestions for every tourist taste and interest. The panoramic restaurant has a direct view of the dome of the cathedral. The metro station is right in front of the hotel. A shuttle bus to the airport is a 7-minute walk away. The ideal walkable city center is right outside the door. The rooms are quiet. You can buy a souvenir real cake with an order at the reception.
